Anyhow, hello again to all of my loyal readers. Which include my mom and my boss. I couldn't do this without you guys. I am really excited for this week's blog because we are introducing a new flavor into the HipStirs family!
This is the first time since we launched the brand that we have added on to the original three flavors. We hope you have enjoyed mixing all your favorite cocktails, mocktails, teas and coffees with those. So, Fresno. Our first spicy flavor. Hopefully not our last. So many of our faithful Instagram followers answered our poll for what they wanted to see in 2022 and the overwhelming response was a spicy flavor. The tribe has spoken and we are bringing you the heat! Now, to be totally honest, I am not usually a spicy drink person. I am kind of a wimp about them to be honest. But I love the way Fresno has a sweet element to it as well. Not so overwhelming and plays real well with others.
Something I love about our flavors is that it seems like they each kind of have their own personalities. When I talk about them or think about them I legitimately refer to them as she/he and when we do content around them I consider whether I think the concepts we are creating fit their individual "brands." So, I've been sitting on some fun personality content that I thought now would be a good time to start sharing. I am hoping to do a little "Dating Profile" for each of the syrups in time, but let's start with Fresno since he's new to the gang.

Let's get to the most important stuff here, though. How the heck are we supposed to use this in our drinks? I've got a few for you here to help you get started.
- 2 oz Gin
- ¾ oz Lime Juice
- ½ oz Fresno Chile syrup
Add all ingredients to a shaker tin, add ice and shake. Double strain into a coupe or martini style glass and garnish with mint and a fresh lime slice.
- 3/4 oz lime juice
- 1 oz naranja
- 1.5 oz tequila
- 1/2 oz Fresno Chili syrup
Add all ingredients to a shaker tin, add ice and shake. Strain into a rocks or margarita style glass and garnish with tajin and a fresh lime wheel.
A Golden Amaro
- 2 oz Bourbon
- ½ oz Amico Amaro
- ¼ oz Fresno Chili Syrup
- Orange Swath
Add all ingredients, including orange swath, to a Stir Glass, add ice and stir. Strain into a coupe or rocks glass and garnish with another orange swath.
- 1 1/2 oz Mezcal
- 2 oz fresh squeezed grapefruit juice
- 1 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
- 1/2 oz Fresno Chili syrup
- Splash club soda or sparkling water (I like Topo Chico)
Add all ingredients to a shaker tin, add ice and shake. Strain into a rocks glass and garnish with tajin and a fresh grapefruit wedge.
I know there are so many more ways to use this syrup and I am looking forward to continuing to discover them. My hope is that you will do some experimentation alongside our team and let us know what you come up with. It is so fun to be introducing a new flavor to our site and we can't wait to keep growing with you!
